A local company here has been trying to sell this '69 forever....the price has always been $61,000...from the get go. I think they want too much money for it. What do you guys think?

For some reason, I can't get an exact link so go here....

Way to much for that car is my opinion. I thought Y2 Yellow was just called Yellow?
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

:iagree:  Yeah, for the color combo and being an auto, way too much.  I would think something in the $37k - $47k range is more realistic (or maybe even less) in this market.

I think so.

From their site: "Choose a muscle car from our inventory of project cars and we'll re-create your dream car at a fixed priced."

That might explain why they are sticking to the price. Someone may have backed out of a deal or their price is just a reflection of the investment they've got in to it - regardless of what the market will bear. Of course, I'm just guessing.

Either way, I think it will be a while before they'll get that price.

Since they don't list that Charger as a past project I'm going to assume its for sale on consignment.

Sometimes people put thier cars at a consignment business not because they want to sell it but because they have no where to store it. I'm sure its good for the consignment business to have cars for people to look at instead of a empty floor.  I'm sure if someone was crazy enough to come up with 61K the owner would take it but otherwise its a nice air conditioned room to store his car in.  I don't know what a consignment business would charger to keep your "For Sale" car in there show room from month to month but I bet it less than building a garage for it or storing it at the local "you keep the key" storage shed.  The consignment business has to know that is a rediculous price for that car.
