anyone else is tired of these series of Burger King commercials feauturing 'king' of gay. Nothing against their food, it tastes great. but they really dont have to go that route Quizno's subs had a while back with whatever those things were...dead hamsters perhaps :rotz:

Yeah the first time I seen the window one I wondered what the Advertising agency and BK headquarters were thinking when they released it. They had to know how friggin' creepy it is. I expect the King to be holding a severed head in his hand.

I don't know about gay, but the king freaks me the F out!!!

bull

Those BK ads are friggin' weird alright. Like 6pk I'm amazed they made it on the air. The guy is a complete freak. And I don't know what they were thinking with that Quizno's garbage either. I never did figure out what was going on in those ads but maybe it helps to be on illicit drugs like the people who produced and approved them..

Telvis

They have closed three of the five Burger King's around here the past few years. The most recent was the one closest to me. Maybe the ads are scaring people off.

They had to do something to sidetrack the fact that that gut-bomb of a HUGE breakfast sandwhich is the WORST thing you can shove down your gullet in the morning!  It's off-scale how many calories that behemoth has.

BK sucks.

The one with the guy on the scaffolding is the worst one, so far.... :o

I do like the BK commercial that has him catching the pass in the endzone. That one is well done, and actually enjoyable. However what ever happend to the day that a comercial actually adverstised what you were wanting to sell. Seems they all try to be mini sitcoms, or mini movies now a day. Why can't they just show someone eating the food, or at least show the food.

BK is gay? When was he outed? I never ask about it when I go to a food joint, so I figure the "don't ask & don't tell" thing is a good idea. I never paid much attention to the King character because I hardly watch regular, network television. Besides, the food at BK tastes like s**t anyway. As for Quizmos, I went there once for lunch because someone I work with said it was good. It was, but not for what they charged. I got a sandwich, small bag of chips & a soda for $11.00 & thought they made a mistake. It was a "combo meal" not a "value meal" is what I was told.   ::)   I'd rather go sit down for a lunch special & a cold beer for that price in my favorite Mexican or BBQ place.

BTW Jude, funny video.  :icon_smile_big:

Those Quiznos commercials were taken from a web animation that became mildly popular.  The original song was "We Like The Moon...cuz it is close to us..."  They are called the Spongemonkeys.  I found them entertaining because they sing so badly, and are so hideous.  Obviously, these things will not appear outside your window and kill you.  The BK King, however, very well could (and his creepiness has nothing to do with homosexuality, and everything to do with the "living statue/plastic man" thing).  Remember those Duracell(?) ads with the battery-powered family?  Creepy crap.

I present, the original Spongemonkeys:

I'm not trying to speak for Silver but some people use the word gay to describe something that they think of as stupid, odd, weird, etc. My wife uses it in that context all the time.

Its got you guys talking about Burger King doesn't it?

Anyone remember those mid-90's Duracell commercials with that weird puppet family? Those commercials gave me nightmares...

Yeah it has us talking about BK, but talk doesn't always corespond to eating somewhere.

Take for instance the Carls Jr. adds with paris hilton washing the car. Everyone talked about them, but how many people actually ate there after that?
