I've got some sloppy column play, and I believe it may have something to do with my isolator coupler.  Is there any way to replace this and not have to spend $80?  I know Bouchillon has them (http://www.bouchillonperformance.com/BPE2119.asp)  Would there be a market for these if they were solid pieces i.e. CNC machined?  I know all '73's have them, correct?  Would it give a firmer feel to the steering column?

Thanks!
Paul

considering they were on that price ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO, I would say nowdays they are "cheap" really

I'd pay for it and be done with it.  Those things are probably responsible for more than a few guys replacing their whole steering boxes while trying to reduce the slop.

Solid?  Nah.  Not for a street car.  You still do want some isolation in the steering.

Stretch

It can't be solid. It needs to be able to flex.
I may be schizophrenic but at least I have us!
