This thread is going to document my engine upgrade to a crate engine by Blueprint Engines. I purchased a fully dressed 408ci with cast iron   heads built by Blueprint Engines. Details on the engine can be found here: http://www.blueprintengines.com/popular_configurations/index.html?topic=specs&pc_id=56

I purchased the engine from Jegs along with a 727 TDI Streetfighter transmission. Everything showed up last week and I took a lot of pictures to document the process.

First up, my old configuration, a 318 with a 904 transmission:

The new crate motor arrives!

Lets un-box it!

The dyno sheet from Blueprint on my engine before it left the factory:

Next up, time to get the engine bay prepped for repainting:

I was hoping you were going to use this opportunity to clean up teh engine compartment. Nice engine. What are you going to use for a convertor?

I never knew you could paint an engine with a foam brush! Is that preferred over spray paint?

Beats me, I'm not an expert. It was definitely an easy way to get the Eastwood engine paint on in my opinion.
