yeah, I know, 4 speed floor shifters and console shift autos get all the love,
but I really liked bench seat column shift cars in my dating days.

I never had a "folding armrest" bench seat like that, but its pretty cool.

Has anyone looked over that car in person?

no318

Actually they ARE 2 bucket seats with a "buddy seat" in the middle that folds into an arm rest.  This is pretty common it seems.  Mine and my parts car 69 were both this style.  The buddy seat can be replaced with a console and use the same bucket seats.

Hell yeah I'm a Pontiac guy. I'm also a MOPAR guy.
When all is said and done though....

I'm an everything guy.
Conceived in the back of a 65 Tri Power GTO,
rode home from the hospital in a 68 Cutlass,
carted around in a 70 SS Chevelle I don't remember either,
first car I remember riding in a Daytona,
and also remember a 69 Z28 we had.
Grew up drooling over true muscle cars.
In HS had a 74 Monte Carlo 400/quadrajet, Impala with a 350, and  a 69 GTO we put a 455 in.
First car I bought nearly new was in December 86 and it was a 1985 TPI Z28
Gave rice (FWD 5 speed, little engine with 15 pounds boost of turbo) with an American brand a try -1990 Eagle Talon-
then had car seats, muddy dogs, etc. in "performance sedans" and SUVs for a decade.
Two doors, RWD, and V8s are the freakin way to go.
Loving my 69 GTO for fun and a daily driver 09 RT Challenger.

If I win the lottery I'm gettin some
full size action with a 427 SS Impala,
some two door action with a 67 427 Vette,
breeze thru my hair with a 68 442 convertible,
buckle the whole family into true 69 RAIV Judge,
some pony car action with a 68 RA Firebird, 69 Z28 and a
69 Mach I Mustang
some fun at the drag strip with a monster 70 Chevelle SS
and will live the dream with a
69 Daytona and 70 Superbird! (And I'll take any Road Runners, Chargers, Challengers, and Barracudas that pop up!)

scatpack69

the red is not a common color but the buckets with buddy seat and column shift auto is what my 69 SE is like but green interior.

Mr. ramairthree, awesome intro and mission statement. I think I have a man crush. Just KIDDING.  :eek2:

I had a 90 Plymouth Laser, same as Talon and the only year for Plymouth branding, it was one hot ass little car. Ran fast until death at 170K.

Your bio should be made into a movie. Welcome aboard.

That luggage rack on the deck lid is way more rare than the folding arm rest.
Quite a few options on that charger.Someone liked a comfortable ride back in the day.

vancamp

mine is a coulumn shift buddy seat in black.

ramairthree

Ok, I did not realize the buddy seat itself was a fairly common option if you went without a console.

I appreciate the information.

I noticed that luggage rack too!  Don't see too many of those anymore- its all SUVs now,
or cars mainly have bike racks that I see.

I may not be finding the exact Charger I am looking for right now,
but man,
I thought last summer brought out a lot of cars and good prices-

Have you guys been looking at much lately?

There are some awesome deals out there right now, and tons of them.
(just have to wait for the right one)
