Well - one of my customers is looking to sell his pride and joy...    1970 Challenger RT/SE  ---440 auto car / 8 3/4 originally B5, black interior, black vinyl top, buckets, console

The Good -
Very presentable B5 paint, interior is damn near mint, underside is amazingly clean and shows original overspray, inspection marks, primer, staggered 14 / 15 rally wheels, all lights work etc. rebuilt 440 to stock specs, orignal (rebuilt) carb, original A/C system, # matching engine and transmission, small rear window,

I'd say $35,000-$40,000 :Twocents: I would love to see pictures, B5 and black is my favorite colour combo on Challengers :yesnod:

Check out this one for $39,500. Seems a bit steep IMO...

Is there ANY way that he can be made to not sell?
That is one great car, shame to see it go away.  :'(

If I'm a buyer I'd feel good to get it for 32-33k. Maybe somebody out there would pay / can pay 40k, might take a few auctions tries and a year.

The vinyl roof is sad, hurts to see (even if it is superficial). Any way to pay for a fix? Might be more likely to get near the 40k with a fix.

The blue CA plate is awesome. I think it completes the package.

well long story short the owner is a lawyer who ASSUMED he was going to win a big case...    spent some $$$ and ended up losing - now he needs the $$$ and fast..   he also had a complete diassembled 1961 Chrysler 300 G 2 door convertible...   long ram 413 car...      but the chally is more apt to sell because it is a running driving car...     He is very desperate and was talking some low numbers to sell this thing...

The roof looks bad in the pics but in my experience 99% of those bubbles will be minor surface rust...         It is a great car but still needs some work - but nothing a few $$$ and time couldnt fix (ie replacing the optima battery with a mopar one...   fix whatever is under the vinyl top....    etc...)    I figure $2500 would make this bad boy really killer - but the owner is just flat broke...

I thought about getting it myself and offering $25,000 but there are three problems with that...    1.  I dont currently have $25,000 to spare    2.   I already have three other mopars....       3.   I am enlisting in a year when I finish up my BA/BS and getting stationed in Texas...

If anyone is seriously interested in this car or wants more info shoot me a PM and i'll get you in touch with the owner. -

there is no WAY that car is going for close to $40k with a rotted roof. you rip that vinyl top off and it's gonna be ugly under there!
i'd say $20k
