well, here we go again, seems as though I broke my 3rd member and the need for aluminum heads are even closer, I've been having some issues as of late.

I'm heading to PA this weekend also, so maybe I can find some stuff.

so what's been the final word on those Stealth heads? or should I just stick to the eddies?

I vote for the stealth heads. They're good pieces. What do you need for the rear?

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

well, I have a set of 3.91's. But I think it's too much gear for how I use my car. I'm thinking of 3.23's stock or 3.55's. I've been getting this horrible noise coming from the car at around 3200rpms (about 60mph) if I'm into it. if I let go of the pedal it stops, I get into it and it's there again, Drive shaft seemed o.k... I put the car up off the ground and got under it. When I spin the tires I hear a not so good noise from the 3rd member. If I spin them backwards it makes clunking and metal on metal noises, I may pull it tonight to inspect it.

Now, I've been hearing mixed things with the heads, keepers and retainers and such. The motor is making some good power so I don't want cheap crap up top, this is my issue.

If I upgrade to the 10degree keepers and better retainers, I'm at the cost of a set us used Eddies. Proven heads. Then there is the issue of support. How is the support with the stealth's? Didn't a set come out that had a chunk missing from the rocker rail supports? they said it would be fine? That didn't set right with me... as my last motor died a terrable death because of the rocker rail breaking loose.

please alleviate my concern for these heads. Thanks!

Do you have the friction reducer additive in your gear housing.  I know nothing about the head deal so I'm focusing on the rear end.

What headers are you using ? The angled plug e-heads don't work well with most headers.

Another good option is the aluminum Mopar 452 heads which use straight plugs and work with any header.

Sounds like you lost a pinion bearing....I had the same noise in my 3.31's I got here in the garage...I still haven't got around to changing the bearings...I just dropped a 3.23 gearset in

Standard Hooker headers in her now... I'll have to do some homework on the mopar 452 heads. Mopar performance makes them?

stop at the local dealer and pick up a couple bottles of friction modifier. put one in your rear and see if your noise goes away.  it might be too late but worth a try.

Yes, the heads are sold through Mopar Performance. They are made by Edelbrock for MP and are identical to the RPM heads (84cc closed chamber) but use straight plugs for better header/manifold fitment.
