Finally picked the motor up last Wedesday, got it in today and found out I got the wrong clutch... :brickwall:. I'm screwed until this coming Wedesday...so I got the top half almost done...and I wanted to fire up the beast tonight. :flame:

Thanks Troy! Congrats on finding your dream BTW.....I'm glad to see it work out for you! I'm gonna miss your 68 though....

Yep...I can't wait to get home and finish her up today. I got a lot of other work done but I'm as far as I can go without a clutch. I'm hoping that I've got about 2 hours of work to do before I can fire her up. It will be good to get some seat time again....I need my sanity pill.

Well....It's lookin good so far for the car going. I have some odds and ends to do today and she is ready to fire. I'll know more after she comes to life. We got the trans in last night....I have to hook the exhaust up and put the interior back together and she's ready.

Looks like you should be having some fun Doug.  Seems like you and I have similiar cars.  I have a 68 Hemi Charger R/T.  It now has a 528 stroker that I build with a 4 speed and a dana.  I also have Edelbrocks on my car.  What kind of clutch did you just put in your car?  I am useing a McCloed twin disk.
Chris

Hemidoug

Sweet! I put a centerforce back in....I had good luck with them. I had a Ram in it when I was running it on the track, but it had a lot of chatter....I had a hard time slipping the clutch in reverse up my driveway. How do you like your setup?

I like the McCloed so far.  It is fairly light but grabs very well.  If I had it to do over again though I would probably go with the Centerforce like you did.  The McCloed is very expensive and the twin disk set up is a pain to set up and slide the input shaft into, especially when you are under the car.  Good luck with your Charger, it is a beautiful car. :2thumbs:
