YIKES!  :eek2: You sure got a project there...
i see power steering, 'n a 383 B-5 blue (maybe) Vynal top and rocker trim but not much else i can make out right off, once you get her cleaned abit we should be able to see more details and suss it out alot better,.. that's gonna be one heck of a before and after,.. what are you thinking you'd like to mod?.. drivetrain color and wheel/tires?... being a pretty basic '69 makes her pretty much a blank canvas...  :popcrn:

funny - what's that thing by the drivers' side hood spring?..  :shruggy:

Yep, i'm 99% sure its cruise control.

It sure is funny to be from the rust belt and see cars from the sun belt rusting from the top down instead of the bottom up.   :icon_smile_big:

Isn't it in ORE. though?.. bumper sticker seems to say Heavenly Valley that's a Ski Slope here in the Sierras' I've skied myself...
IUf it was left out in the south 40 for 20 years that could account for it...  :shruggy: sad looks to be a decent runner when abandoned...

OK,  GRILLS - There is a guy in Missouri (Mike -- I might be wrong about his name) who restores charger grills, 68 - 70, you can reach him at gswrestorations@aol.com.  Mike can be found at Midwest car shows and Charger meets.

CHARGER MEET -  The next charger meet for our "www.Chargerfever.com" group is in Hutchinson, KS  Labor Day weekend. Rocky Slagle is leader of this group of about 600 Charger owners.

CHARGER SHEET METAL - American Metal Direct is a great source for the sheet metal you need.  I've been restoring my 68 using their stuff and it's pretty good quality and match up according to my resto guy. Mike Steiner of Muscle Car Factory Restorations in Winfield, Kansas.

DECODING FENDER TAGS & VINS - For Decoding fender tags, VIN numbers etc. the best source is "Galen Goveir" books.  They are very good and he is an EXPERT on MOPAR.  www.gvgovier.com.  I have also used service manuals and related reference books.  LOOK for a broadcast sheet under or behind your back seat between the springs and seat cushion.  also behind the glove box area.  This will have your detailled information on the build of the charger.  You can also do a title search for less than $30 and it will give you lots of information on the history of the car ownership and original selling dealer.  My 68 Charger started as an Avis Rent a Car in Chicago, IL.

GET CONNECTED TO CHARGERS AND MOPAR SOURCES - You should join a charger or MOPAR Club (local and national) for good reference sources.  I also recommend several MOPAR magazines like Mopar collectors guide, Hemmings Muscle Car Magazine, Direct Connection, Mopar Action, Mopar Muscle, and such.  Another great source is the Winged Warriors and B-Body Club. wwnboa.org They put out a fantastic club newsletter that is about 18 to 20 pages a month and no one does that at a club level anymore.

Well that's all for now.
FYI I own 3 Chargers, 68, 69 RT, 08 Daytona.

Ya she's in pretty rough shape. But we've rebuilt worse. It has factory cruise, (thats the thing by the hood hinge). As far as building it i'm thinkin an hp 440, and a built 727. Later on we'll build a stoker rb for it. I'm workin on a 69 sport satellite that I have to get done first though. The charger has got a sure grip rear end but i don't know the gear ratio. All the structural metal on the car is in good shape though. I know it's a pretty big project, but i'd much rather rebuild her than see someone scrap it.
