And heres a teaser until Jeff gets there and takes some pics...from my understanding work on the driver side has begun

resq302

Frank, is the pass side quarter welded up or is it just being held there by the vice grips?

Heres the real pics..

Of course things will be cleaned up, and sealed before the new panel is put on  :coolgleamA:

More updates.

Just to make it clear because i know there might be questions, it is NOT a concourse resto...I DO NOT CARE that you can still see the welds on the wheelhouse where they patched it in...the whole inside of the trunk will be undercoated anyways. The car is being done right, but i dont need time wasted to smooth out a wheelhouse that your not gonna see.

So without further interruption

The other side

:'(

resq302

oh shit!  Frank is that area the tail panel or is it another area?  Kinda hard to tell where it is due to the angle.  Nice to see a skin back on the pass rear quarter. :2thumbs:

Looks like the tail panel area. On my Challenger that section would be part of the trunk floor.

Glad to see you're making progress. Although there's a point right when you get everything apart - and see all the rust/damage - where you question your sanity (at least I do).

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

resq302

Troy, I question my sanity everyday!  Be it working on my cars or going to my job!

In my case there was a point, when it was apart, that I LOST my sanity... Too much $$ into it to turn back and NEVER expected to see what we were looking at.....  :brickwall:

Frank's car will look incredible when it's finished, and like he said, spending extra $$ making areas that will never be seen look good is just a waste. It'll look like a million bucks.. And Frank will be driving the tires off the thing in no time!!!!!!!!

FLG

Yep its the tail panel area Brian  :eek2:

Troy,

I question my sanity daily...for what im putting into this car i could have bought a much more solid car, cleaned it up, and saved money...but bottom line is this is my first Charger and my first Mopar and i plan on keeping it, so i dont care what goes into it because i never plan on selling...just enjoying.

And Jeff, you know i drive my cars..when its done granted i probably wont be driving to the local mall like i used to...but it sure will be driven quite a bit, heck i probably will need a new set of tires by the time i leave MA with it  :smilielol:

Nice! Did you locate them yourself or take measurement from the donor?

Thankfully he cut it from point where the skin folds around the edge of the door. If you look at the weld line closest to the door handle and cut the door straight across that line but removed the outer skin thats what i had so they were easily able to measure it up.
