Carlisle Reminder!

Just a reminder: we will once again have a club tent at Carlisle. As usual, we won't know the location until we get there but I'll have the banners up during the show. Hopefully we'll be in/near the 2nd Gen Charger rows like we have been every other year. Bring some chairs, coolers, etc. and hang out for a while (or all weekend).

If anyone would like to pitch in a few bucks it would be greatly appreciated. The tent costs $170 for the weekend unless there are 25+ cars registered with DodgeCharger.com as the club name. I ordered - but haven't received - more decals so I'll bring them and probably the t-shirts I have left. I hope to see everyone there!

Sounds good Troy! :2thumbs:  We are all excited about going and can't wait for it to come.  Your parts are all set aside and ready to be loaded up into my truck once we hook up the trailer.

I have some samples again this year.  :D

Sounds good.

From reading another post, Golf carts are not allowed, is that right? My 76 year old mother likes classic cars and wants to come along but she doesn't get around so well. Is there anything that anyone knows of that can be rented there (or brought in) that would be allowed?

Troy
Are you going to be collecting the money or have a jar out or whatever.  I'll be happy to fork over some cash.  I plan on a tshirt or 2 as well and a sticker hopefully.

Mr Angry, if you see this, are you going to be bringing some stuff to sell as well?  I need more window stickers and a couple more t shirts.

I'll be there Saturday for a couple hours to say hi and then cruise back up to Maine.  I have no idea where I'm going once I get there or where to park.  I'll be bringing my Challenger and really don't want to be that far away from it.  Any tips on parking would be appreciated.

Thanks

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Mike, There is no parking on grounds. If you pay to be inside you'll have to park the Chally in it's class.

I'll throw $ in the jug.

   Somebody bring a jug.

I'll throw money in the jug too. I'm not sure which kind of jug you're wanting someone to bring, and I can bring one or two but they are the type that will need to stay at the hotel.

we'll be at the show too, I'm bringing my 2001 Dakota 5.9 R/T Club Cab, so we will be parked with the Dakota R/T Club all weekend, I'll be cruising the the show field looking at the Chargers all weekend and scoping out parts for my Charger... I'm staying on the showfield all weekend under my easy up in my pup tent, so if any one is around stop and say hello!

Old Moparz

I'll cough up a few bucks if there aren't enough people registered. I may register my Satellite to get the weekend passes, but not sure if I'll be bringing it.  :shruggy:

On a side note pertaining to Carlisle...... as in years past at Mopars @ E-town..... I will have the snow cone maker at Carlisle.  One small change from E-town, since my charger will be in the retro dealership display, I obviously can't be doing it from the trunk of the charger sooooooo....... since we are bringing the chally convert to Carlisle also, look for me behind a white with red interior and mention the code "snow man" for your special treat.  Anyway, this year I am up to 16 different flavors.  Pretty much one for every color car out there.  Welll.... almost.

  Don't worry.  Its not like eating yellow snow.  Actually the yellow ones are pineapple and birthday cake (similar to cake batter ice cream)

Hey!  This is great news!  I will be up there early Saturday morning!  I really look forward to meeting some of you.  See you in a couple hours.

So, where was the tent. I never specifically went looking for it figuring I'd wander past it eventually. I probably walked right by it while looking at a car, but I never saw it.

moparonecharger

I agree!!!  I went to look for it and every year there a big banner dodge charger.com  I was looking forward to stopping in. I think you had to move it because of all the show cars ??? Sorry I miised it.

resq302

The tent was close to the 68 charger category from what I remember.  If you came in Gate 3, it was just down to the right on the first cross row and down about 2-3 rows but right at the end near the gate.  I was there for a little bit but ended up spending most of my time at the cuda-challenger tent since our chally was parked right next to the tent.  Just happened to end up like that with where our class was.

It's a white canopy right at the 68's and across from the Coronetregistry.com tent. just down from Subway.  Troy or someone pulled the banners late afternoon for some reason.

Tommy had his 68 backed up near the tent and Doug had his Hemi parked inside the tent with the hood up.

 You're right.

We need a better likeness of Troy for the huge cardboard cutout that greets all the DC.com members. Maybe they'll stay under the tent longer than 2 minutes.

This was my first trip to Carlisle, and I have to say I probably spent 10 minutes at the tent 30 minutes total actualy sitting by my car and wondered around parts hunting sight seeing and BSing the rest of the time.  I was probably there a total of 20 hours and did not see everything.  A great time, My wife told my sisster in law when she asked were I was, because they had been at our tent for about 5 hours and had not seen me.  My wife told her I was at Mopar disney land and we may not see him back at his car all day.  Infact I would have spent less time at my tent if I hadn't had family come in to see me.  I said Saturday night, I have to come back to this show, after returning home on the 13.5 hour trip, I'm not convinced it's an annual event for me, but I am glad I went and got to meet many great people I can now put a few more faces with names.
