I'll give Clarkson props in one area though, he sure knows how to drive.

Sabine Schmitt showed him up though on the ring in her transit van  :icon_smile_big:

the 68 charger rt hammond drove for the show wasn't his..
he had a 69 non RT which he sold on and is now a general lee

Thanks for the flesh-out on Hammond...I knew he had a Charger but my sources were in conflict about the year.

Also, Sabine Schmidt is one of the coolest chicks ever.....her race against Clarkson in identical Mini Coopers was awesome.

Is she the one that did the GL/Starsky and Hutch comparison?

Nope, nevermind, that was Vicki Butler-Henderson.

If you mean this one,

then no. Sabine is German, and she has quite a heavy accent.

This is Sabine vs. Clarkson.

I guess I don't watch much television, I've heard of the Hammond Charger but all the rest of that... :shruggy:

Actually i think its Richard Hammond, one of top gear's other hosts that owns the 68 charger. They actually did a review of it on the show once.

I think he got rid of it for a ....Mustang havent seen or heard anything about his Charger in a long time
I could be wrong, maybe he still has it but I heard he sold it.

I am a top gear fanatic... and just for the record the guys did like one batch of American cars, the challenger, zr1 and cts-v... thought i would let you know that a truely great american car will bring praise!

2005 Harley Davidson 1200 Sportster Custom - Maggie
2012 370Z NISMO - Courtney
1979 Corvette L-82 - Lilly
1969 Dodge Charger R/T Clone - Vanessa

Where does he stand on European cars in general?

Forza

It depends on the cars, he doesn't blindly love them all. He will praise the ones he likes and completely obliterate the ones he doesn't. I love his reviews and bought seasons 10,11,12 on Itunes, its an amazing show.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Troy

Well, luckily Australia passed us as the fattest country (with a major economy) last year. Maybe he'll lighten up a bit now... ;)

I think his reviews are pretty funny. I can't compare his views on the cars since I haven't driven hardly any of the stuff they get to test.

I really enjoy the show but for the past little while all the ones on - I've allready seen,..
I love the competitions between them guys like the buying the cheap '70s Luxury cars, the trip accross Africa, the trip to France via the Channel, the motorhome race and the two guys race the Nissan GTR via public transport...
I find the production values typical BBC fantastic, the sound and sountracks, the Photography and structure all First Class and should be benchmarked for American T.V.s cold, dry, flat, lack of style...
:scratchchin: what I want to know is,.. Who's' the "Stig"... Nigel Mansell or several guys?..  :shruggy:  :popcrn:

Yes, but as previously stated he really doesn't seem to like the US much or anything built here. Seems to me he's a bit too quick to prejudge American cars.

I agree, I cant stand him  :Twocents:

Go watch the episode where they take a Cadillac CTS-V, Dodge Challenger, and a Chevy Corvette from San Fransisco to the Salt Flats, you'll probably be surprised at how much they like the cars.
