Got a new to me Harley 1999 sportster 1200 xl custom New tin!

Before....When I got it, about 3 weeks ago.

Here are the after pics.....4 Gallon bob tank and rear fender,stock front fender. I kept all the original stuff incase I want to switch it back someday. A friend of mine airbrushed the eagle on the tank for me....Simple and clean.

Cool looking bike!  Funny though----I remember how big and imtimidating the old 900 Sportsters used to look to me back in the '60s when everyone was riding 50cc to 250cc Hondas and the like.  The only people riding Harleys were cops or the Hells Angel types.  Now, with all the huge bikes out there, that doesn't look big at all.   Bob

I'm on a 95.  It started out as a 883, but it has the 1200 kit, some motor work, lowered 4.5", 16" apes, stainless lines, oil cooler ect.  Definatly one of the faster bikes I've owned.  Only Harley I've owned that I can wheelie.  It will pop up 6" if I get on it hard and will stand up if I clutch it.  I let some friends ride it who only ride rice and they were blown away, your going to love that bike.
