Since I already had this done I wanted to ask if anyone else ever had this modification done to their car. Since the 73/74 model year had longer torsion bars then the older chargers I had the frame mounts moved closer to the engine. the 3rd gens had a second frame mount installed behind the transmission mount and they lengthend the torsion bars. I had someone remove the second set of frame mounts and welded in the torsion bar mounts onto the first bracket. So now my torsion bars are the shorter version that were used on the 2nd gen chargers.

Anyone else do this modification and how did it work out for you. Not that I am going to change them back

I was told that they do not sell heavy duty torsion bars in the longer version and theyre are more choices for performance torsion bars in the shorter version. I will post pics once I get home so you guys know what I am talking about

Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms should be a convenience store NOT a government agency!

makes sense to me as long as it was reinforced correctly
