According to him its "steal"  :brickwall:

I kind of like my steel wing that Don Currie built for me. It's fairly lightweight, yet sturdy.
When I bought a real Superbird wing for the clone, I decided to use the steel one on the 69 Runner.

My steel wing wouldn't support as much as an aluminum wing. It's made like a dragster wing with two rods wrapped in sheet metal. I've seen full grown men sitting on the aluminum versions. As long as the wing is supported in the trunk with wing braces, it can hold quite a bit of weight without any damage to wing or car.

Here's a pic showing the structure of my steel wing strut.

I recognize that ebay wing and nose cone...I made 'em both.
They were on my 'Black Ice' bird clone I sold to NJ two years ago...
I wonder how it ended up in Fla.

Thanx for the kudo's on my wing Larry,
It's looking good on that mighty fine 69 of yours!

It's getting a lot of mileage lately. The 69 has become our daily driver...literally.
