I have the Guitar World issue with them. Haven't heard any of the music yet (besides that video) but it should be great knowing the lineup :yesnod:

I just got the debut CD and I must say, it's pretty friggin' good, not of these where the first two songs are decent and then a "skipfest" to find something else worth hearing. I am pleasantly surprised. :2thumbs:

I'm confused why some people don't like Hagar? Is it his style of singing or his personality? I could see someone not liking his vocal style but jeez, the guy seems as happy and personable as Santa Claus.

Amen brother. I'm from StL and a huge fan. I've seen Sammy numerous times, w/VH & solo, most recently at the Pageant. Even saw him reunite with Montrose a few years ago. Awesome! The guy is 60+ (old enough to be my dad) and still rocking like a teenager.

I've got the new Chickenfoot CD. Pretty good, but I could go for a little less Satriani. His solos get me reaching for the FF button.

Sammy looks like he's no older than 40 at 60. Meanwhile, Eddy looked 60 when he was 40.

TruckDriver

Yup, Sammy is 61, and will be 62 this October. I just down loaded the cd, and it's really good. I didnt care for, "Soap On A Rope" & "Turnin" Left. I really like a lot,  "Oh Yeah", "My Kinda Girl", "Learning To Fall", "Future In The Past". I even got the bonus track called "Bitten By The Wolf", and I like it. It's a nifty little southern rocker.

What band is Chad Smith from, I cant place it even though I do know him (old age I guess) :shruggy:

And I was scoping out the Chickfoot web site, and saw that Chad Smith hurt his arm bad the other night, and one show was already cancelled, and maybe a few more too?

What band is Chad Smith from

Drummer for the red hot chili peppers

He also plays the Piano, Oboe, Saxophone, Guitar, Didgeridoo, Flute

He also is in his own band called Chad Smith's Bombastic Meatbats

He was also named the number one rock drummer alive.  Beating Neil Peart.  Sorry, but I'm not buying that one.  Have you heard Neil play.  Greatest of all time IMO.  He's the only one that I've ever heard that can play out of time if that makes sense.  Peart is a drummer GOD, no exception.

Ok, back on Chad
Smith enjoys watching the Detroit Red Wings, scuba diving, baseball, basketball, and riding his Harleys

He currently endorses Pearl Drums and Sabian cymbals

Comedy actor Will Ferrell is said to closely resemble Chad Smith. During his recent NBC Tonight Show appearance with Chickenfoot, he wore a T-shirt that read, "I Am Not Will Ferrell".

He grew up in Bloomfield Hills, a suburb of Detroit, Michigan and attended Lahser High School and Andover High School (Michigan).

All ripped from WIKI.

Probably "Bigfoot" is the one you heard. The CD I got also comes with a DVD and some 3D pictures with glasses. :2thumbs: $12 at Best Buy. Haven't heard all the songs yet but so far I'm happy with the way it sounds.

TruckDriver

You are right. It was Bigfoot.

Very rarely am impressed after the first couple run-throughs of a CD. Every time I buy a new CD I hate everything about it until I listen to it about 8 times and it finally grows on me. That's the case with this new Chickenfoot CD but now I like it overall. There's a couple of stinkers on it but most of it is quite good. I can tell I like it when I get some of the songs stuck in my head.
