Well you learn something new every day. :2thumbs:

"The 1969 version of the 383 engine was upgraded to increase power output to 330 bhp (246.1 kW), and a new trim package called 'Cuda was released. The 'Cuda, based on the Formula S option, was available with either the 340, 383 and new for 1969 the 440 Super Commando V8."

71 Cuda is the only E body I would choose just for the grill and 4 beams setup, however I like a lot the parking lights location on the rest. I don't drool on Challys because the mid body line

I've seen a black AAR in person and must say, WOW!!!!!!

68charger383

71 based on the gills and the front grill (But I like the 70 taillights better than the 71)

But my first memory of a muscle car was seeing a red 70 AAR when I was like 7. After that, I was hooked!

I like them too, well yes, but is a really small diff against the rest of facts why I like a 71 more.

I was asking specifically about Cuda's not Barracudas. Sorry.

Then technically, you should have included '69, since the 'Cuda package was first introduced on the '69 model. ;)

Personally, I prefer the 68 fastback to all other Barracuda/'Cudas, then any other 2nd gen, then the E bodies.  64-66 would be last.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

:scratchchin: I don't care that much for 'Cudas... i wouldn't kick one outta bed for eatin crackers,.. but i'm not gonna pay cuda money for my cars,... that said - I'd take a dark blue or black AAR anyday,.. with the understanding i'm not gonna carry folks in the back seat or try to get anything in the trunk... just drive the snot out of it... is an AAR concidered a 'Cuda?.. it is " 'CUDA" isn't it?..  :shruggy:

71charger_fan

1968 fastback. Of the ones on your list, I'd say '70. '71 is my least favorite; I hated that grill in '71 but have grown over the years to only mildly dislike it.

I'd say the real trick would be gettin' a 'Cuda in bed with you.... :scratchchin:
Followed by getting it to eat crackers.

I used to know a couple of Barracuda's..............................But I digress.

The only one I have not owned is a 68 S/S. That would be serious fun. I drove a 65 Plymouth A990 once and that was a bad ass car.

My list

68 S/S
70 'Cuda
71 'Cuda
AAR 'Cuda

Let's not forget the notch backs...
