What is it about certain appearance options?

That make them look good on one car but out of place on another, especially whne they are essentially the same vehicle?  For example, I think hood pins and Rallye wheels look great on a 70 Charger but when I see them on a 69 I just don't feel it.

True about the hood pins.  They really work on 1970 Chargers more than 68/69s.

(Maybe it's because the Daytonas used the 1970 car's hood?)

As for Rallye wheels, I like them on 68/69 Chargers just fine.  You just don't seem them very often.

I remember thinking that the steel Rallye wheels would have made a decent replacement wheel for the General Lee.

(We were lucky that car kept the old rims for that movie shoot.  The reproduction 15x7 Vectors were not even a rumor yet in the fall of 2004.  That crew was gonna need at least a dozen sets of the car's rims, all one size, and all movie productions buy EVERYTHING on maybe 2 months notice or less.)

I'm the opposite of MikeDC.

Hood pins are OK on 68,69 Chargers.. but those rallye wheels are  :puke:

Maybe but it's hard for me to imagine the GL without Vectors.  Maybe I just get used to seeing a certain thing?
Then again, I like the W23 recall wheels on a Charger but not a Coronet or Plymouth.  I like the woodgrain steering wheel in the B-bodies but it looks out of place to me in a Dart.  Rear window louvers on a 3rd gen Charger but not so much ona Road Runner form the same years.  The list goes on and on for me, just a personal idiosyncracy I guess.

The hood pins maybe is because the shape of the front edge of hood and they way how meets with bumper ?
