3/4 ton GMC Suburban goes over Tata Nano as many times as you want it to.

No air bag? It can't be legal for sale here then.

The car is the airbag. Looks like one on wheels anyway.

How embarrassed would you feel with a name like that.

"How would you like a ride in my nano tata."  :D

Actually, in that car, the airbag is supposed to be in your turban. :icon_smile_big:

You wouldn't drive it on the interstate  - it's a city commuter car. Yes, 45 is usually the stated minimum. I believe it doesn't meet US emissions standards either so don't plan on buying one at Wal-Mart any time soon.

They're saying they would have to bring the car up to US safety/emission standards first. Plus they would bump the engine from a 2cyl to a 3 cyl.

I'd like to see one next to a smart car to gauge the size.

That piece of crap makes a Geo Metro look like a certified super car.  :eek2:

I like one of the comments - even on the NY Times - that for $3K they'd jump all over a used Honda before even considering a Nano Tata. What a piece!

But it probably gives us a good idea of what to expect from the new Fiat-Chrysler and Government Motors. Cheap crap built overseas and imported for us idiots to buy.   :2thumbs:

And yes, if it does ever manage to meet U.S. safety and emissions standards (without the company dropping one of its wheels to classify it as a tricycle/motorcycle/scooter) they probably will sell the damn thing at Wal-Mart. And idiots will probably eat it up.

Thanks, I'd rather walk or just take my bicycle. I'd save more in gas/oil and it couldn't take much longer. Or take a motorcycle. It couldn't be much more dangerous.

On the upside, maybe I'll be able to get parts for my wife's Jaguar at the local Chrysler dealership??

As Jeremy Clarkson says, "your knees  are the crumple zone."

No way in hell this thing can pass safety testing. Once a few thousand people are mangled beyond recognition in them, they'll get all the SUVs off the road and make everybody get one. Then we can ALL potentially die horribly! Yay!

Although, most people won't accept a car without a/c - and putting a/c on that piece of crap, even with a bigger engine will make it so ridiculously underpowered it's not even funny.
