It was my son's 13th birthday on friday. He wanted to go see the Braves play.So my wife and I take him to see the Braves-Redsox game on friday. We were there to see the Braves get the snot beat out of them 4-1.We stayed at a Best It was also across the street from the Atlanta Assembly Plant. That was the plant that built the Talladega's.It was flat, leveled, gone. It was just tough to see. There were a few signs and a fixture to get the car a few feet off of the ground with a ramp on either side.Maybe someone here knows. It was a goal of mine to have my car finished and to take it back to the plant to have its picture made where it was born.It was just tough to see all for the sake of progress.

Thats a portent of the future I'm afraid. One plant...many dealerships...then the city of Detroit.

On the upside, there will be a lot more farming there in the near future.

Sorry about the O/T slant this is heading into.

Magnum I agree to a point. If we could get Americans to BUY American most of our troubles would be gone.I don't want to hear the excuse that "May Camry was built in Ky or wherever its built." THe $$$$$ goes to Japan. If I buy a Ford my $$$ goes to Dearborn. That is just my .02.JW

I agree completely!! And I've been saying the same gosh dern crap for years! But you know what?
People are stupid!! :yesnod:
Anybody who buys a Camry, or an Accord, or whatever other Japanese or foriegn make is funneling their countries' dollars out of the country...plain and simple.
I don't care if their factories are on our turf. The profits go offshore. The only reason the factories are here is because of the tariffs on shipping cars into the country.
It's cheaper to build them here than it is to transport them.
The American (and to a lesser extent) Canadian economies are shrinking, and Japan is growing. This doesn't happen for any other reason.
The worst part: The Japanese (and others) don't have the raw materials (ie: resources) to produce their own goods!!! They have to buy them...from us!!

Watch out for China.
