Capital City Mopars, Sacramento, has their annual show this Saturday. Several hundred all-Chrysler vehicles, I hear it is great. My first one. Any one attending?

I'll be there with my 68 Hemi Road Runner, Hemi Orange, original 999 paint, plate 68X426. Stop by and say hi.

Its was a good show and a hot one Saturday.

The 68 Charger got third.
The 67 Charger got second
and the 70 Charger got first

The only third gen that showed was in the Super Bee class.

I tried severa times to say hi to 68X426 but he was either swamped with people talking to him about his ride or he was off checking out the show.
There are more shows comming up maybe we will get a change to meet at one of those.

Thanks for the photos. How hot was it up in Sacramento? I would have made the trip except for my feeling horrible (but nothing that a few days of good drugs won't cure). I'll put it on the calender for next year. After all, it is only a 2-hour trip!  :2thumbs:

Too damn hot for me..

ChgrSteve67

It was about 102 the day of the show.
My uncle got a case of heat stroke from being out in the sun.

Today it was like 110

Hello everyone. I finally got time to post some info and pictures. The heat wasn't bad until about 2 pm and then it was crazy hot.

Sacramento's "Mopars in the Park #16" was a great show I thought, and Capital City Mopars had it well organized. Yes, Steve, I was swamped with people and also took time to see every vehicle. Your Big Red is awesome and the "midget" is a riot.

I know this is a Charger site, but I just have to mention that my Hemi Road Runner was recognized as a Sponsors Award Winner. I guess I was runner-up to the Best of Show (I was called second to last). The top award went to a pristine 69 Daytona.

His car was not allowed in the Charger category, as mine was not allowed in with the Road Runners. We, and about 10 others, were grouped as Hemi/Bird/Wedge. I think many folks missed the Daytona because it was separate from the Chargers.

I included a picture of the Daytona. It is a single owner, unrestored, with original sales receipts, window sticker, and about 30k mileage. From Napa, CA, bought in Petaluma in 69. I hope I got the details right. I didn't get to talk to the owner.

The pictures include a fabulous Dodge Dump Truck, a great 77 Monaco CHP patrol car that included all original equipment and the shotgun (owned by a retired CHP honcho), and a great 68 Charger with a really cool eggplant color paint job.

I'll be there next year, heat or no heat, hopefully other forum members can drive in and share the fun.
