Well there has been too much down talk lately (unions, economy, no more V-8's, Michael Jackson, Farrah, wife on big time PMS trip) and it was all just dragging me down with it.  Anyhoo, there was an old Hot Rod sitting here on the desk and glancing through it I noticed an old photo with Linda Vaughn in it and it made me think , "now there was a girl".  That led to the bored internet search where I found this link.  I hope you enjoy it.

And Michael Jackson.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Any closet Olds fans on the site who know if any of those Hurst parade cars still exist?  For that matter, what about the giant shifter?

I had a few drinks with her during a SEMA seminar. I thought, "Screw it - I'm asking her for her autograph". She signed it, "Jim - You shift my gears".

:drool5:

I am still in lust with her.
She is super sharp. She remembers the names of everyone she ever met. Quite "UNcanny"  ;D

Winkie Louise, who was Linda's predecessor as Miss Pure Firebird was my favorite.   Linda was certainly in her prime in 69-70, but got a little too meaty or my taste afterwards.

The other Hurstettes weren't bad either.

So does anyone think there is a current day equivalent in motorsports?  I don't myself, I think she's a product of an era past.  Too bad to, modern motorsports loss.

I think all we have is Courtney Hansen.  who is from Minnesota thank you very much!..  :icon_smile_big:   :yesnod:   :yesnod:   :yesnod:

Hmmmm, you might get that one on a technicality.  I would have to agree that Courtney seems to genuinely like cars and there is no dispute that she's hot.  The only thing holding her back is that she would be less of a household name than Linda was.  That wouldn't be her fault though, Linda gained fame in a time when everyone was into motorsports or at least had an awareness of them.
Yes, Courtney is a good one.
