Decided to bump this. Since I'm still figuring out what to do when we build the new garage, thought I'd get some ideas

Charge??  hell, a nagging wife is "priceless" :icon_smile_wink:

Actually, most of the garage stuff is her (gardening crap). I've been totally thinned out of all parts, cars, and projects for a few years now to make way for this newer/cleaner way of life...... If it wasn't a 1967 Coronet part - it was liquidated a long time ago. :'(

FINALLY got mine cleaned out and squared away....now I can start work on the Charger! Spent the afternoon cleaning, putting up shelving and reorganizing. I tried to leave as much of the side walls open as I could for parts storage. Now that it's clean I have a little over 3 feet on either side of the car, so at least I can easily get around it now.

69 OUR/TEA

Just finished sheetrocking, painting and putting up the new lights.Closed the door to the back garage to keep this side clean, this fall I will sheetrock and finish the back 3 car garage.Next spring a  2 post lift to the side of the 4 post. One of the best things in here I did was the radiant floor heat, worth every $$$$$!!!

Landonsrt

how high did you build you ceiling. Im trying to get a layout for a two car garage with a two post lift and work area in front. Youve got a nice setup. And cars!!

The ceiling is 10'-0'', ideal would have been 10'-6'' to 11'-0'' but this garage/addition I built is also all living space above the garage  so the second floor had to line up with the second floor of the orig side of the house,so that is what I was left with for height. At 10' you got to be carefull,so anything above that is def better.

guess we know who has all the 1st gen dash clusters now..........................

heres an old one of mine, Tona and Neon are gone now.
my son did the door in 2006, the date on the pics is wrong, when we lose the house in the next couple of months the door is going with me!

Looks like you have enough stuff to build a few cars Lee!

I have seen your car somewhere before (I recall the plate) but I can't remember where!

Anyways, garage looks good and the car has great potential.

Lee Ellison, now there's a name I haven't heard in several years.

Lee E. died years ago - Nigel Mills ended up with trailer loads of his NOS and parts he bought from his wife.

Ghoste

Yes, I had been up there to see him (Nigel too for that matter) many times before he passed away.  I still have one of his business cards stuck on my toolbox.

Magnumcharger

Mo-parts North.
I went to visit Lee back in '87. Nicest guy too.
I bought a set of NOS exhaust hangers and tips, plus a complete set of restoration decals all for my '69 Roadrunner.
He gave me the grand tour of his shop and facility, and let me take pictures too. I have a real nice shot of him (somewhere).
There was a mauve '66 Hemi Charger (engineless) in his shop, that he was asking $8K for I believe.
Anyhow, he had a '69 Charger...and I think another '69 Hemi Charger too. With "Lee" on the plate.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Oh yeah, and a hot stupid wife.

Very correct on all counts.  One of those 69's was a Hemi car with a crunched 1/4.

maxwellwedge

Yep - Good man. He had a few cars - I remember a funky A12 as well.
