thye did'nt work quite as fingertip easy as the ones the tow trk guy had (he said his cost $400 each or so) but my son and i were able to move the car fairly easily, the road is sloped right outside the garage so that probably made it harder also.  the curb right in front of the garage stopped us from rolling it straight in, length of hydrualic cylinder got high centered.  i was hoping to keep it on all four and just move it around as i worked on it but the width of the car with them on won't let it fit in the front next to the bench. :brickwall:
i searched ebay for 3-4 wks stalking several auctions and finaly got impatient and bought them anyway, was around $340 for a set of 4 with shipping
here's the seller i used, fast service
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120522748410&viewitem=
there are others as well
i've seen auctions end as low as 180 + shipping for 4 and 85  + shipping for 2
they also have auctions that include the storage rack for them, but as you can see i definitely don't have room for the storage rack

Did the wall this weekend. Next Epoxy the floor.
I pointed to two old drunks sitting across the bar from us and told my friend
"That's us in 10 years".
He said "That's a mirror, dip-shit!

Not HUGE, but I did build it myself so I'm extra proud.  Getting final inspection this week and the Chargers go in next week.

When I decided to try my hand at a restoration I knew I would need some space other than my old 2 car garage so I hired a contractor to add another car length to the back of it.  Now I have a 2X2 car garage and still only barely enough space!

Wow, that came out great.

But why did you pull all the siding off & take the trusses down?   :shruggy:

Good thread  :2thumbs: , some cool garages on here , only got the 2 car garage and bit of a small area, still got some stuff in there to finish the kitchen upgrade so cramped.
But on the plus side , cool wallpaper, the Charger is warm and dry and there is 120w 3way speakers and a beer fridge

This is my attached garage.  I move the car to this garage during the summer.  I have an unattached 1.5 car garage that has no power yet.  I use it during the winter to store the car and most of the parts.

This garage is a huge step for me! every car I worked on was out side and all I could do was throw a car cover over it and pray for a good days to get some work done. Finally bought my first house a few months ago and I am already hacking away at my 72 charger! The car looks different now then in the pic I havent been able to update because I can not find my camera charger......

Yeah, but the funny thing is, they are lifting that truss in with a cherry picker

Alright, I'll bust your balls for shootin' off this one...

That "cherry picker" is also designed to be used as a crane.  The manufactuer sells a lifting eye to swap out with the basket.  It is a 2 man unit and is rated at 500 lbs at full extension.  The trusses weight less than 200 each.

You can drop your big block in with that so called "cherry picker"!

mine,,,,, as long as I pay the rent. 40x60 with an additional 20x40 office in front and a 20x40 second floor storage over that - 3700 sq ft total
