Here's what my tiny little shithole looks like right now.   :eek2:  I need more space or less stuff.  I'd rather have more space and less stuff.  But, who gives a rats ass right, unless I had a Hemi car in it.   I get the jist of how it really is around here. A lot of ass kissin goes on :Twocents:

Sounds like you need to grill out more often and get those bags of charcoal out of your way.   :popcrn:   :icon_smile_big:

Or you could light up some of that charcoal, close the garage door, and before you know it you're sitting on a cloud singing harmony with the guy from BOSTON.

My little 28" x 36" garage pales in comparison.... :rotz:
Which is why I'm drawing up a "Hugh Jazz" addition. My biggest problem is how to make it look like a vintage gas station, with a flat roof et al.

When I grow up I want to be Allen...or Jim. :icon_smile_big:

How "Hugh Jazz"?... 50 x 101 ?  ;)  BTW, you don't wanna be me... I am falling apart!  :P

Pics from today...
hurry up and adopt me allen

Good - He is off me and on you now Allen!!!

Oh-Oh - I spoke too soon - he hopped into my trunk at Carlisle and is now squatting on my beer fridge - yelling, "I have refugee status"!!

The overhead door openers were installed Saturday, and 8 truck loads of fill dirt were brought in and distributed around the old & new shops with a Bobcat.  The Electrician came out to get set up in the new building... wiring should start by this weekend.

$$$$$$????? :icon_smile_big:

A bunch of these  :Twocents: ...a great BIG 'Ol Bunch!

More exactly...

$20,250 ($11.25 per sq ft) for the basic 30x60x12 with 4 inch slab, walk in door, & overhead door openings
$  2,240 ($1,120 each) for the two 16x10 commercial grade overhead doors (includes installation)
$     750 for slab thickness upgrade to 6 inches minimum (actually got 7-8 due to rainstorm before pouring)
$     480 for a 16x10 ramp slab (actually got 16x12 due to mix-up on forms)
--------
$23,720 Total for structure

Also spent $1,022 for overhead door openers (different company) & an estimated $1,000 is due for fill dirt and Bobcat work (about $125 per truck load).  Also upcoming is the electrical work... no estimate yet.

Anyone in the DFW Metroplex wanting a bid on a metal building, contact Miller's Metal Buildings & Construction in Burleson, Texas...  :2thumbs:

Robin, how big is your addition going to be ???   :popcrn:

Allen, my addition is morphing into a huge construction project.
If I could build a building the same as your smaller storage building - for that price, you can bet I'd be all over it!!

Unfortunately, (and I hate to say it) up here in the frozen tundra of Canada (okay, it's not always frozen ::)) a building exactly like yours would cost DOUBLE the money.
And I have no idea why that is. :shruggy:

Which is why I'm thinking of building (rebuilding) my shop by myself. And I find I'm getting too old for manual labor.

Part of the reason Magnumcharger is that the same building up here would never stand the snowloading. The steel that I see in Allen's bldg would just about have to be doubled up here. Not to mention the foundation req'ts!

The second is our tax rates (Fed., Prov., municipal, etc.), some people do not realize that if I want to pay my employees $25.00/hr I need to charge $42.00/hr to the customer just to break even! Just wait untill some of the reg's from Ont. reach the rest of the country, where you would have to charge an additional $12.00 - $20.00/hr.
