im doing research for my diarama and i'd like to see what you guys garages are like,..

i got some lighting kits and cool checkered 1/24 scale flooring,   im thinking i may make something pretty darn elaborate where i can display a buncha cars,.. maybe even engineer some sorta folding box that i can carry or store the models in and then unfold into a 1/24 scale shop with working lights..   ;)

Mines kind of small and disorganized right now but it gets the job done

CB

kinda small? I have 3 feet on both sides when the car is in the garage..

my old 68 in the garage:

1968 Dodge Coronet 500

GTX

Oh hell, I have the smallest ever.

I only have a single car garage and it's used as a video arcade so I have a 20' x 10'(?) Cover It type garage that is my shop. Inside is my Charger and all along the sides are my tools. No room to work but all I have.

Just 6T9 CHGR

Nothing useful for your diorama here..... ::)

Well mine is not done I will attach some picture soon,  I will say this I may not finish the garage totally until the car is done.  I would have to move everything out to do the floor, and I have a lot of stuff.  I will paint the walls though

Are you building?  If so go bigger than you think if you can.  I have a 35 X 40  and by the time I have my 70 charger, the parts, the firebird, well it starts to fill up quick.

I will take some pictures tomorrow,,  GF has the camera.

It's cleaner & less crowded in the photo than it is at the moment. I thought I'd have it under control before it got too cold, but I had a water problem in my basement & had to deal with that first. The Road Runner & the Satellite are in there too, along with a bunch of other junk. My daughter's bicycle, a K-Frame with the front suspension, snow blower, generator, Daytona nose cone, patio doors & some boxes of my wife's crap that used to be in her car. I have no idea how all of it fit in her car, it's probably like her purse, more stuff comes out that it can hold.   ::)

very nice guys, we used to have a two car garage befor i put in a bedroom downstairs in '91 now there's just squeeze room around the charger... with my current lifestyle.. there's no way i could do any more then get rid of the junk i have to free up some room,.. so a recreation of a huge garage in 1/24 scale will have to do.. for now..  :icon_smile_approve:

Mine is not all that small until you consider my fleet of cars.  The Coronet has been replace by an 86 GN.

There is a good sized space up there, but it's an unfinished attic right now with lots of junk & car parts in it. I planned to finish it off as a one bedroom apartment when I built it, but things change. Good thing I didn't since I need the space.

What is the form widened out for on that inside corner?

Shakey

There are some good photos in this link from a few weeks back.

I have also included a few more photos of the garage my car stays in, not pretty but it will keep it out of the elements!

Also, there is a "family friendly" pic of the "old school" garage art.  I have gone ahead and blacked out the nips as this photo was deleted from the "winter home" thread.  Amazing as to what gets to stay and what gets turfed.

What grade are you in Strat?  Hopefully you will win the diorama contest!  Be careful the teachers don't give you grief if you choose to use the old school garage art as part of your display!
