Just to get even with the guy that owns the 69 R/T in Mountainburg, Arkansas, I really should post his home phone number. Do you think anyone would call him? lol

I know where there are at least a dozen cars sitting within a few miles of my home that will never be restored and the owners won't part with them. While Arkansas cars aren't always rust free, they're usually easy restos.

This is a real 70 1/2 Z28 matching numbers car which is actually more solid than it appears. Will never see the street again.

That is a Chrysler Imperial.   I just saw my friends 300 last night, he said it has the same grill as the car in this pic, and his had the same wheels, but his was was black.   They both actually have hemis in them, he just won first place at a car show last weekend.     That place with the blue car in the pic is on the Skookumchuck River in Tenino, I just went fishing there two weekends ago and all the cars were gone.   He also has about 75 Chrysler Imperials at his house in Gig Harbor, so I figure he sold this property and moved all the cars there.

That's the original paint on that car...what's left of it. The guy has the original low back seats and original gauge cluster in storage as well as the original rear spoiler. Since this pic was taken, he has drug it up a mountain with a dozer to keep people from bugging him about it. Hate to see what the floor pan looks like now.
Also, I'm not quite mean enough to post the charger guy's phone number. Besides, maybe some day he'll call me and need the money real bad. Probably right after hell has frozen over.

THE CHARGER PUNK

i just got back from a from a camping trip and along the way in one yard was a gold 73 440 charger rallye and a 1973 triple black cuda minus its front clip-MATT

Lowprofile

I always wanted an hemi orange Charger!  Very Kool. Glad to see so many great Mopars going to a good home.  :2thumbs:

These cars are all over the place. Sadly so are the owners who don't want to sell them! I can sorta understand, I mean if I had what's left of my father's 70 R/T sitting outside but didn't have the money I don't think I'd sell it considering the sentimental value of it. But sometimes you just need to let go and if my father passed away and I just had a son and needed some money, I might consider selling the Charger.

I guess I can understand the sentimentality of a car easy enough, but the thing that really pisses me off is when you keep track of these cars for years.     You keep in touch with the owner and cultivate a realtionship and all the while, you're constantly reminded that it isn't for sale.   They're going to fix it up some day.
Then, one day, the car is gone.   Scenario A) they sell it to somebody else because they didn't think you were serious, or, scenario B) they have it crushed because it was taking up space.
AAAAAARGH!!!

Of they decided to sell it the one weekend you aren't there because something came up!  :-\

is that one from www.classiccarsrotting.com?

Nope, found that on the internet.

That site you have there has a link to cars in barns that has pages of pics of Mopars.  I don't know if this was what someone else mentioned before.  Here are the links:

Just to get this thread back up and running: Here's a '70 Ford Torino Wagon I found. Everything is there including the 429. Get this, the last time the car was registered (the plates are still on the car) was in 1978!

I need to find out where some of these barns are.

SeattleCharger

Are those old wagons worth much?   There's a nice black '67 Coronet wagon down the street the guy had out to sell for a while, then he put it back in his yard, its got the rallye wheels that are black steel with the smaller silver center caps, sort of like the dodge cop cars had in the movie The Blues Brothers.   It says it has a built 440 in it.

99% of the pictures I posted either a friend or I have personally tried to get the owners to sell! No Go!

A friend of mine has a soft spot for wagons. Mainly people grab the engines out of them and take off with a few other small parts but some can be worth big money, usually though those are the early 60's and even earlier.

I have lots of pictures that I never got around to sending to carsinbarns.  Most of my cars that I shared in the other pic post would probably qualify for that also.  BTW-Last year, I found a nice 70 442 W-30 that was sitting for nearly thirty years in a small town, but has since been moved to a different location by the owner.

1st, 2nd pics.   '71 Billboard cuda, sitting in a yard by my hometown.   I saw it maybe 7-8 years ago in much better shape and thought, i'll come back for it.   well its been moved a couple times and stripped beyond repair.   :cryin:

EDIT: SEE NEXT POST FOR THESE PICS.

3rd pic.     ;D   not in a barn but close.
