It wasn't too bad. It had some issues...mostly beat up pretty bad. That car lead a hard life in it's first few years. It found a good home though!!!! That car had more dents in it then a golf ball.

Is it okay if I use those pics for my site?

Ive been going to this site for quite a while off and on. The saddest ones to me are the wing cars. The green Superbird near Daytona that is just rusted beyond belief and the green Daytona Charger that just keeps sitting under a barn/shed down south for no good reason. People are just nuts destroying these cars like this....

1972Rallye

I'll start by saying that Cody can use these pics for his site...

Once there was a kid (we'll call him GB) who worked very hard cutting grass and doing all kinds of landscaping in his neighborhood. He saved all his money for the perfect car. For him, it was a '69 Super Bee... an A12 that was a former magazine car.

As a young man, GB worked for the family business (an automotive machine shop) where he learned to build some of the best engines running.  He built the Hemi engine in a VERY succcessful F.A.S.T. series car and even did some test machine work for Mopar Performance. He had his act together.

You see GB has a huge heart and a kind spirit. He doesn't swear, smoke, drink or do drugs. Unfortunately, he is also gullible which led to trouble.  Evil people found him and drained him of everything including his savings and his dignity... everything except the Bee.  It started a downward spiral that ended with him in jail for stealing from his family's business.

GB's beloved Super Bee was still hidden away in the garage surrounded by years of accumulated junk – it had not moved in several years.  While in jail, his family found out that his evil friends were using his home as a flop house.  The garage had been broken into (stuff removed around the car). The Bee was in jeopardy, so his family removed the car, cleaned it up and got it road worthy again.  It was then placed into secure storage until GB got out of jail and turned his life around.

GB has turned his life around.  He no longer works for the family business, but he is doing something he enjoys.  The Bee is still in storage – GB thinks it is safer there.

Yep... I just wish he'd get interested in his Bee again. To me, it's criminal to let that car sit! :eek2:

Would you happen to be "GB"?  The garage in the bee picture looks an aweful lot like the one in your signature? :shruggy:

Nope, I'm not ("GB" is my Brother-in-law) and it is the same garage. I brought it to my house to get cleaned up.  The day after I took it out of his garage, it was broken into again.  Judging from the mess they left, they were pissed they didn't get what they came for.  The neighbors told me later that a flatbed had visited and left shortly after his Dad and I left... :nana: Score one for the good guys!

I almost bought this Charger 13 years ago as my first car, but I decided it was way too rusty and bought a 70 500 later that day.

Crazy Larry

Here's what I pulled from this site over the last year....

Does anyone know what ever happened to this Charger in the bushes (the last 3 pics here)???
I remember someone posting this and being very confidential about it - did they rescue the Charger and is there any other pics of the process of extracting the Charger.

I manage a Dealership body shop, restore cars in my spare time and most importantly, my wife is a Chemist for a large steel company. I'm almost 50 and everything is paid for. It also helps to live in Arkansas where the cost of living is definitely cheaper.

Arkansas is easier on the wallet! My dad and I found the 71 Dart in my avatar for $800 from a guy that bought it from a old lady.

I just wish now I could come across a charger for cheap I could fix up.  :pigsfly:
