Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

I was born in 58 here in the territory of Alaska, kinda weird not being born in a state. I will have to look at my birth certificate sometime locked away in the family archives to see if it says territory on my certificate.

I called our rep for keystone in cali and she said they do not rechrome bumpers. we get stuff from time to time and we have an account  but that was what I was told.  but I found a place in renton washington called art brass company, its spendy about 800 dolllars for 70 runner rear bumper.  a guy at musclecars nw  told me this.  check out their site www.musclecarsnw.com.  they sold a cool car a 427 comet capri with factory 427 4 speed cupposedly one of 6 ever made.  I am going to get my bird in their showroom when done.

ACUDANUT

Here is their number here in KC. 816-921-8929.  I know for a fact that if you had to ship it to them, they would do it for 299.00. Shipping can't be that much. Your Money though.  I also have seen new 69/70 roadrunner bumpers being remanufactured (new for 500.00). I just can't remember the name. Good luck.

superbirdtom

Hey thanks  for the help!! It will all depend on shipping costs  but Ill look into it.   I think I saw that Jims Auto parts had the rear 70  RR aftermarket bumpers??

mikepmcs

I thought Jims Auto parts was on the suspect list for good vendors??
I'm doing a search

well if Jims does or dosen't have the 70 runner rear bumpers does anybody carry it??  I have a 70 superbee and can't believe no one is going to make FULL quarters for them. lord mine are shot and I need the sail panels.

ACUDANUT

Jims can't be all bad. He is still in business after all. You should be safe with paypal or visa if he fails to deliver the bumper (you get your money back).  I wonder who supplies his stuff, maybe you can eliminate the middle man. :Twocents:

The B-body bumpers are being made by Goodmark. Any vendor that carries Goodmark should be able to help you with these.

BTW, for what it's worth, I've seen Keystone's chrome work.  :puke:

Art Brass is the place. It is in Seattle, and not Renton. Spendy but they do a real nice job.
Like every thing else, you get what you pay for....
Good luck,

All depends what you're looking for or the quality level you're after. I've seen Keystone's work full of waves, grinder marks, and peeling after 2 years. I haven't seen your bumpers, but as long as you're happy that's all that matters. As Winged 1 states, you get what you pay for.

$1200?  Must look pretty good for that much.  I guess the $299 price gets you an original looking bumper.
