Which fuel sending unit do I need?

The 5/16" or 3/8"? It's for my '68 383/2bbl. I'm guessing it's 5/16" but not sure.

Factory was 5/16 , it will not hurt to use the 3/8 pick up if you want

3/8 fuel lines were used on 440 and Hemi cars only with a fuel vapor seporator return line. And you will find the 3/8 will cost you more. Yes the stock 383 fuel line size is 5/16 and for your mild street car that will be fine, and the return line was not used on 68-69 with the 5/16 line. You can run any size line you want.

Yeah that is Frank, he sells lots of stuff for sure and I have bought a lot of things from him and everything worked out great.

That unit does not have the vapor return line in it that is why it is cheaper, but you don't need that anyway.

Just as an aside, not all of the 3/8 setups were with a return line.  I don't think it appeared until 1968.
