On a mental/emotional side... If you can restore that to a show car, ud feel proud the rest of your life knowing what it used to be and thats something money cant pay for. :Twocents:

If ur just after a charger and whocares... then ur like me and u just want something u can put the key in and drive.

It's just how you look at it.....

If you can handle a welder and see restoring old cars as a hobby (means you know what your up against with something like you have there).
Then I don't see the problem. All the panels you need can be aquired today from AMD.
Of course the bodywork alone will set you back several thousands, but aferall you started cheap...

However if you are missing alot of trim and interior parts, then the bill will rise up real fast.

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

It will take $30,000 to make the car look nice.Think about that before diving into a big project.

:iagree: :iagree: :iagree: :iagree:

You can spend the next 5~10 years working on this car and spending every dime you have on it, all so you can drive it 5~10 years from now... or.... sell it off and save up some more money and try to get a loan (bank of Dad) and buy a complete car that you can drive now, then you pay off the loan while you drive your car, instead of paying for the Charger while working on it constantly and not driving your car.

:Twocents:

I've done the former twice now and you'd think i learned my lesson the first two times, but no, i have a rusty Charger sitting in my garage that needs 5 years of work and $30,000.   :brickwall:  Anyone wanna buy a Charger?  :icon_smile_big:

Ill trade you mine!!!!
Alot of trim pieces came with the car, but as far as interior it just came with door panels, and SE trim stuff...

So, are you going to sell off the parts and make some money?  A lot of guys don't have the tail light housing cover. I bet someone would go for that one.  I'm glad I got one already.  They finish off the trunk well. Then there's all the other parts you can offer for sale.

You couldn't be welder shy if you were to bring this back. But on the plus there's a lot of areas to practice on haha. I think it could be brought back but you'd be in it for the long haul.

Any updates on the Charger? This car can basically be rebuilt with all of the new stuff from AMD and others, it wouldn't be cheap but it would be fun to watch the restoration. I love to see Chargers brought back from the grave. :popcrn:

The good thing about your car is that the sky's pretty much the limit as far as what direction you go. When someone gives you any hell about the non-factory original modifications you'll most likely make just show them the before pictures and they'll shut right up.

best advice ever
