A few interior wiring questions

I'm trying to sort a couple of things out here. I'm making all the connections for my dash harness and have a few questions.

Firstly, can anyone tell me what's going on here? I can't figure out what a previous owner did with the yellow wire below. I have the single yellow wire from the new dash harness connected to the door jamb switch and the single black wire connected to the parking brake switch. That leaves the old piece of yellow wire which seems to go with the console harness but looks like it should connect to the door jamb switch.  Next there is the alone male plug that I think is for the console harness that I don't seem to have the female end to on my new dash harness. I'm probably just missing it and it's up there with the gauge cluster connectors but does anyone have a description or picture?




And here, around the connection for the ignition switch are three plugs that I'm not sure what they go to . . . can anyone tell me?

in the top picture  the yellow wire with the male bullet connector  from the dash harness  ,  connects to the female bullet connector  from the yellow console wiring  & the male connector on the end of that  , goes to the door pin switch ...  there should be a  yellow wire with a spade end  connector & a female connector  in the some where .

second picture  , the orange wire with the triple black  female bullet connector , is for the ash tray lamp &  the heater control panel lamp ,  only two of the connectors are ever used !

the red & black wires & black L  shape connector are for the turn signal  flasher relay  ,
   & the last one the double orange  white /red stripe T shaped gray connector ..hard to tell the color .. is for the radio

I took the male ended yellow wire from the dash harness and connected it directly to the door jamb switch.

But you are saying that it is supposed to connect to the old yellow wire on the ground, and then THAT wire goes into the door jamb switch, right? To where both the console yellow wire and the dash yellow wire are going to the door jamb switch?

Just skimming the text in this thread and not having my wiring diagrams handy...don't forget the single wire that leads to the parking brake.

  from memory  ..as thats for the console lamps that come on when the door opens !!  ,  i'll take my kick panel off tomorrow  look , but yes all the yellow pin switch wires ..go round in a big loop   on mine with a light group package , how its wired don't make sence as it doubles back on its self  bullit conectors on bullit conectors

Bleh I really don't get it I guess because some of these seem broken or home-done.

Right now I have a single yellow wire going to both of the door jamb switches. These come from the dash harness.
