Same answer for me.  If it's just dreaming, the DOHC Hemi would be too cool for words and if it were a realistic dream it would just be a plain old 426 Hemi.  Not too creative are we?

Since we pay 2 to 3 times more for gas (but we run 98 octane) I would get a nicely build 383 or 440 for my car.

The one I want for my car is an Indy Cylinder Head 528" Hemi crate engine.  All aluminum, fuel injected, pump gas, close to 750 ponies, AND it weights about 20 pounds more than a stock 318.

Sorry, no pictures. It is Tim Banning @ FHO that is building it for me. Callies billet crank/ Oliver billet rods, and CP pistons, in a World Product Aluminum block, and CNC ported Stage V heads. Missile drysump pump.

Of course a Hemi and a Big one at that! 600+ cubes, all the good s..t  second choice would be a stroked 440 again, as large as possible both would have single carb's dont particulary care for the 6 pack.

I think something we may be overlooking here is the bigger the motor, the more Torque etc the more will be needed to be done to the car. The guy's who are satisfied with "stock" or near stock will be fine but with big H.P Torque Motors, frame connectors would be mandatory possibly even a cage in some cases but hey, this Thread is called "Dream Engine" so let us continue to dream...

Many do not know it but those Paxton's have been around a long time, they had a setup for early TR 4's that was the cat's ass!

nope, a 3.9 liter mopar v6.. no one has done much to them in regards to performance... so.... one day i would like to.

Here's my other 440 option. No core and a little cheaper. plus they say they video building and dyno the engine for you. Plus i like thebillett pulley setup they offer.

I'd love to have the newer Hemi design that they were developing in the early/mid 1970s before Mopar closed its whole big block V8 program.  (I think the prototype was called the "ball stud Hemi" or something like that?)

They were in the process of creating a more tractable set of Hemi heads for the 440 wedge blocks.  Something suitable for a wide production application like the 1st-gen and 3rd-gen Hemis.  It would have been weaker than the 426 Gen-II on the dyno.  But much more practical, and physically smaller/lighter weight.




IMHO this would be the ultimate street-usable car Hemi motor in the real world. 

Make mine in all aluminum, please.

Neither can i, but there is a lot of body and chassis work to be done, before i will be able to fire up that thing, in the car!!
