Can a 340 Flywheel be used on a 360? Isn't a 360 externally balanced? Im having to replace my clutch and my flywheel looks pretty bad (don't know if it will turn out) But I noticed by the part number that its a 340 flywheel.

Thanks
Jason

Not all 340 flywheels are neutral balanced because the later 340's had cast cranks and need exterenal balance like the 360.

If it is a neutral balance flywheel it can be modified for the 360 by drilling three shallow holes.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

John,
My flywheel, does have the 3 shallow holes in it. So I guess I got the right one already.

Thanks alot,
Jason

Be sure the three holes are the correct 1-13/64" diameter, the later 360 magnum also has three shallow holes but they're smaller in diameter.
