:'( Sad day a the green car house.....  :-\ SuBLimE Jr. got too close to the Charger and put a handle bar from HIS BICYLCE into it !  Ya, the rear quarter...just a lil dent....Ya'll would be proud of me....I didn't even yell at him.  I could see the fear of slow death in his eyes the second he whacked it.  He said he was sorry and made him rub out the scuff what else can I do...Shet happens right ?  I went in side and cussed up a storm though.  :rotz:

This ticket is only $69.00 ?  If I'd have known that I'd have been going FASTER !

My biggest fear......my girls know not to go near "Daddy's car" ;)

I have the fear that one of these days my son will do the same thing. I know my sister scratched my dad's HEMI 500 when I was little and I was blamed for it. I got the spanking I'll never forget for that one too.

ya should learn kids not to mess with your stuff, once they see its ok first time they will go on thinking they wont get punished next time...just looking 'cute'

Well I'm outta here for a little while to go drive the 500. Hopefully I don't get any dents in the car tonight.

That sucks Sublime. It's really only a matter of time when you have young-un's...I bet he'll be more mindful now.

Good job on withholding the beatings though. :icon_smile_big:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

bluesfool

I feel your pain...everytime I wash mine, I find another scratch. But at least I knew scratches were inevitable since it's a black car and I built it to drive.

toqwik

Yeah, but in about 20 years, that will be your favorite part of the car....

I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

When my nephew was 3 years old, he nawed teeth marks into my dash pad on the passengers side on one  of my 69's, *SE* I had, car is in Seattle now, with that same dash pad. I didn't get mad at him, I always laughed when somebody asked when he did that happen as the years went by. Accidents happen, even by selling the car.  :(

My oldest, Alicia, Is 10 and my youngest, Lexie, is 7

Here they are with American Idol winner Carrie Underwood a few weeks ago.

They, including my wife last about a half an hour before the "Im bored" dance at any car show.   They are more into girly stuff like dancing school & gymnastics & stuff.....go figure! ::)
So unless you come out to SINY for a local show, you'll never see 'em ;)

Hey Sublime, if you don't want to save the dent forever then you can always use one of the Paintless Dent Repair places. I've heard good things about them.

HEY I did the same thing to my dads 30,000 mile 68 Charger that had a 440 in it when I was 2 or 3.Now I`m 33 lol.My dad never hit me but he cussed up and down and chewed my ass.I remember him tryn to squeeze the pad to get the marks out.Didn`t work.Needless to say about 7 years later he told me he found his old Charger in a junkyard. He said he could tell it was his old car because of the THEETH MARKS!

Great looking kids you have there Chris.

Hopefully next year I can  talk my wife and son into going to Englishtown, and Carlisle with me. I know my wife said she wants to go to Carlisle with me next year.

RECHRGD

I hate dents!  About 6 years ago, right after I finished the Charger, my grandson was standing in the drivers seat for photos.  He was teething then and decided that my Grants steering wheel looked pretty tasty.  Those little teeth marks are still there and I smile every time I notice them.   Bob

I got a dent popper quizmo and now it looks more like a door ding.  You have to look down the side of the car to see it now...much better....I still think I'm gonna slap his mama.  hehe J/K ladies....

My girls (8 and 5) are very careful not to get to near the Charger.  Good restraint on your part Sublime and you should still slap his mama.  What are you going to do though?  I know my dad was one of those guys who likely would have exploded but dads were different then (I think).
Our oldest lightly carved her name into the kitchen table a few years ago but now no one can question that it's her spot.

BTW, regarding your topic title...

...I'm thinkin' yu may have accidentally hit an alternate key... :icon_smile_big:

My 2 girls know not to get near my cars.  ( 4 and 2 ) But my 2 year old thinks its funny to slam the Barbie Jeep into the 1ton truck. She will slam into it and say " ha ha I hit you " Hell what can ya do ?

Was it to protect the car or the Monroe Cutout in the background?

When my son was 16, I bought him a 70 challenger. The first thing he did was fly into the driveway and hit my brand new truck. How could I be mad, he had a point. The front end was a lot longer than the entire Nissan that he was driving.

That's a nice stable you built for the 69.  My father in law used to keep cones and mini sawhorses with 2X4's in the trunk of his car so he could erect barriers around his car wherever he parked it.  It was a valuable car too.  A nice Lumina 4 door.
