Speedo Help!

I have 2 speedometers, Luckaly, because i tryed to take the needel off of one of them to paint it and i broke off the black circle that is at the center. how do i pull that needle off? i tryed just prying at the base of it and thats how i brok the first one! i'm hella pisses at myself right now, but i need to keep workign, so what can i do?

PS anyone know how to fix the broken one? i got it off the gauge, but is broken! damn it!!!!
