I am, have always, and will continue to be a Wings fan but the sad truth was that last night they played like a regular season game.  The Pens played like they had nothing to lose and the whole world to gain.  They deserve Stanley.
I will say this though, last year when Detroit beat Pittsburgh in their hometown the whole place started to boo and the stadium was virtually empty by the time they brought out the cup.  Last night there were some boos but there was a lot more cheering and most of the people stayed in the stands cheering until the awards were done.  It emptied quick after that and by the time they all did a second round with the cup it was only the white shirts in the stands but IMO the Detroit fans took it like they were fans of the game alsmost as much as the home team.
So enjoy it now because we want it back.  :D

Yeah, the Pens deserved it as the Wings played very slumpy. They tried to pick it up in the 3rd period but, it just wasn't enough.  Oh well, we had it AGAIN for the past year.  There's always next season to try.

Not a huge hockey fan, but when I do watch I cheer for the Red Wings. However I must admit it was nice to see Crosby get to hoist the Stanley cup over his head. That is one impressive player. Very impressive for the age that he is, and just an all around great player. Unselfish.

I agree, they looked real sluggish throughout a lot of the series.  They had an article detailing some of the injuries the Wings had which had a major effect on the outcome.  Honestly I was surprised they beat Chicago.  Lidstrom got speared in the testicles and had to have surgery in the series against Chicago  :o  These guys are something else..

Rav I have to admit there are people in the seats still in the 2008 one which just goes to show how much you should trust your memory of an event a year past.  As for the booing, it probably depends on who sits closest to whichever mic the particular broadcast you are watching and the way they react.  In the two vids you posted it sounds like a LOT more cheering on the 2009 one to me (which is probably also subject to the same thing).  It's all pretty much a moot point now though.
