Here Cuda owners buy lots of these:  CUDA GRILLES (Shameless Plug)...

How well do the original moldings fit this new grille?  I know that resto people in the past were having trouble with the parts shrinking a little after they were cast.

Hey Larry,

I have one of the repro grilles but not all the parts & trim yet. I have only tested some of it, & tried a set of 6 original inserts, (the small grilles) & they fit fine. I also tried 4 original, plastic headlight rings & they fit good too. There are 6 original, "C" shaped, stainless mouldings around the inserts that line up, but I'm not sure how they mount yet. It looks like they'll tuck into a small hole & snap into place, but I don't know if there are clips to hold them. (Never had a Cuda before) Last week, I just got the 2 larger "C" shaped mouldings, (originals) that go around the headlights on the outer edge of the grille. I haven't tried these yet since I packed the grille away & can't get to it at the moment.

I still need the longer, upper & lower, stainless mouldings that mount on the outer edge. These have been tough to find, or just too damn expensive so far. Harms Automotive sold me a pair of stainless grille brackets that look great, but again, I haven't tried them. $55 for the pair if I recall. I would have test fit the grille a long time ago, but it took over 4 months to get it.   ::)   I hope Charger Aficionado doesn't take as long to ship them as Steve at Premiere Plastics did, or he'll have some ticked off buyers. It does look to be a decent grille & it's everything I was told it was.
