Just wanted to get some opinions on my Charger dilema. I have a 69 original that is white with red interior and a vinyl top that I was told is kinda a rare combination. I also have a burnt orange 70 that is a base with a 318... I was just wondering what way to go to build the general out of one of them. I would change the 70 to a 69 front clip and so on but what do ya think??

Do what you want but, another general lee, to me is getting old.  There's just so many of them.   :Twocents:

:iagree: but it's your choice. White with red interior and vinyl top is not only a rare combo but a cool one to boot.  Regarding the '70, keep in mind the marker light locations on the quarter panels are different from '69 if I'm correct.

I resemble that remark.....being a girly man myself.

Don't touch that(your) 69
As for the 70...lots of work and money to get that one to general lee status..since you are ok with changing its appearance then I suggest selling the 70 and buying a base 69 that needs a little work and then do your thing. This way you don't have to totally restore it and you can get some orange paint and stickers on there and blast the interior tan and you are all set without worrying about perfection, if that makes sense. :Twocents:

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

For the love of mankind - NO MORE GENERALS !!!

Hate to say it, but I agree with the comments above.  Do what you want, but making it something else would be very cool. When I got on this site, I was floored to see all of the "non conformers" here.  Very cool when you see something different.  It inspired me even more to build my 68 the way I want it. :2thumbs:

Hi men. There is only one color for your car, NO MATTER WHAT YOU WANT: White

Saw this 69 at the mopar nationals - was the best watching car (in my opinion)

No vinyltop but nice!

That one's a real beauty, for sure. :yesnod:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I would love to have that car in black with a red stripe!  :icon_smile_wink:

White for a Charger is simply understated!!!!!!!
And with a red interior.....fantastic!!
(of course...I'm a wee bit biased).
