I converted my 68 charger from a column shift to a floor shift and I got the steering column in and floor shifter in and console got the side lights working when you open the door for the console but the neutrel safety switch is giving my grief .the stuff i put in is out of a 69 coronet and the two wires leading to one outlet is under the dash for the old steering column two purple ones and there is a plug on the shifter when connected nothing happens won't even start so I had to put a wire from the engine block to the plug of wires  :scratchchin:under the hood to get it to start does anyone have pics or advice of what to do thanks

You're mixing some different setups there.  Your 68 had a single pole neutral safetey that goes from the transmission to the starter relay.  The two wires under your dash from the old steering column were for the reverse lamp switch.  On the 69 setup, the neutral safety and the reverse switch were combined into the same switch on the trans.
You will have to either pick one or the other system and go with it.  Your easiest bet is to likely retain your 68 switch in the trans and get a 68 style reverse switch to install on your console shifter.  This doesn't solve your no start, for that check the switch at the trans and make sure there is a single brown wire running from there to the "G" terminal on your starter relay.  If they are connected you will have to isolate whether it is the switch or the relay or a different issue someplace else.
