This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Hi 69Chargerrtse wow that was pretty good as you already went through my problem, I have A/C and theres absolutly no room under the dash, so I will check with the Mopar dealewrs and also check out the 71 Charger length as stated.
This is so frustating when they dont make the proper repos and thanks for reply

I looked at Autozones website, they show 3 available for a 69 Charger, they are made by Pioneer...
Part Number CA-3014 (80" Length)
Part Number CA-3025 (40" Length)
Part Number CA-3002 (63" Length)

Might wanna call your local Autozone and check it out, if they have one in stock, they'll probably let you look at it and see if its what you need.

Jaak thx but alrready been down that road and none of them work, the 3014 has the correct plastic fitting and also has a larger nut dia. which is the proper size but 80" is way too long, the 3025 is way too short and the part that goes into the tranny is too small also, the 3002 is just about the correct length but its for cruise control and has the threaded ends  for both ends- so none of them will work.
But I did call a guy smsauto ( I think) and he has the eaxct cable needed, correct nut fitting as it a nut and not round like the cable you see today, has the rubber piece that fits in the firewall and its 61"
but thanks :yesnod:

Couldn't find anything on the SMS auto site but hood hinges (which they do an excellent job of rebuilding). If you think of the source of the correct cable could you let us know? - Thanks

PS - Is it black or gray?

Bumping this as I see that Mancini has Mopar PN. 04897646AA (63") cables in stock for $52.95. Correct for 1968-1970 B Body and 1970-74 E Body without cruise.

Some good info from an old thread (apparently the price has gone up):
