Can't find the online listing in AMD's catalog but at least 1 vendor has it in stock.  Discuss.

It lists for $549 which seems a bit steep, so hopefully the actual selling price will be more realistic. I see used ones all the time at Carlisle, so it's not like you can't get one. I actually found a rust free one in the trash pile at Englishtown about 10 years ago, dragged it home & gave it to a friend. It did have a dent, but still repairable.

All I see are rusty decklids at the swaps.   Or old fiberglass ones with zeus fasteners.

Speedo asked awhile back if I saw a better one he'd like to put it on the car cause... well it's black.

According to Pat and John at Empire.... the AMD stuff is pretty good out of the box but still needs to be fitted and blocked.

Yeah... pricey.    Thinking maybe it would be more reasonable at Carlisle.    :shruggy:

I have been checking their site weekly waiting for it to be listed as well, It is a little exe but hey at least its avaliable and brand new :D being a new item it should come down after a while one would hope

suntech

Is 549 pricy? It is a complete decklid, right? Not just the skin?  :shruggy:

How much is a decklid for a normal modern car (whatever brand, just an average grosarygetter) ??
Since we only live once, and all this is not just a dressed rehearsal, but the real thing............ Well, enjoy it!!!!

Exactly.  It's still a brand new part we're talking about.

I wonder which version it will be? Probably the blue example.

Great analogy.  ::)

The whole reason I stated that $549 is pricey, is because I see brand new, reproduction Challenger deck lids for less than half that price.

That Challenger decklid might be a Goodmark variety and not the AMD.    Speedo was trying to sell off a Goodmark Chally since last year at Carlisle and sold it for cheeeeeap to some dude last Sunday at Rainbeck.    Neither he nor the Chally owner (Jersey Joe) was happy with it.    He says the AMD is much much better.  AMD list for $499.

Autobody specialists lists a "standard quality" Challenger decklid at $249 and "show" quality at $489.
Their online catalog now lists Charger decklids as 68-69 decklid and a separate 70 decklid each for $529.  I'd imagine that's the AMD.

Good point, I've been hearing a lot of crap about Goodmark compared to AMD so you're probably right.

I still think it's pricey though. You have to remember, I'm a tight-wad that's tighter than a crab's ass and a crab's ass is water proof.

Received two new front fenders and the deck lid a couple of weeks ago.

The new trunk lid does not have all of the cutouts for the wing.

I just got a chance to see the new AMD decklids in the swap meet at the Mopars in the Park show in Farmington, MN yesterday, they have 2 versions, one for the 68-69 which is made like the silver one in Bull's pic, not the blue one, and the 70 version, which has the cutouts for the wing brackets. I am not familiar enough with the 70s to know if they have "all" the cutouts or not, but there is holes in them that the 68-69 parts don't have. All  the AMD stuff looked great. I wish it was available a few years ago when I needed them. The fenders looked great, and the quarters too.
