A motorhome?

We have a winner :)

I'll be taking it home today, I just purchased a 77 American Clipper Dodge RV. 440 motor 21 footer, plan of doing some camping and towing the Charger to some of the farther away Car shows :) She's been very well maintained, air suspension upgrades and other goodies :)

More pics will follow!

You need to put a DMCL style "440" cutout in the back of that stripe.

:2thumbs:   I would like to get an older class C to do the same with mine.  I've seen several and you can get them fairly cheap.   :2thumbs:   440,  :scratchchin:  Better make sure the gas gauge works.   :icon_smile_big:   Cool RV, enjoy.  We will need more pics.  Does it have a generator ?

NO generator, she's been hooked up with an inverter and several House batterys good for about 3 days "boondocking" The gas gaude on both  :eek2: 30 gal tanks works, not looking forward to that, but to be honest, she gets about the same at the Charger with it's motor setup, so I still win ... and I can put the cheap stuff in the RV. I will get it tonight, if it's not raining too bad i'll clean her up and post more pics tonight.

I got a great deal on it too ;)

Well I was going to mention the mural space above the stripe but I didn't know if you were into that sort of thing or not.

You and Stratocharger can meet in St. Louis some time both towing your Chargers..   :icon_smile_big:

You can at least get some R/T badges for it. Why not? Dodge puts them on pretty much everything they make these days.

Looks like a nice camper for a 77.   :2thumbs:

Sooo...it looks good, does the roof leak? :icon_smile_big:
J/K, I hope it treats you & the family well.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Nope, the American Clippers are made of a 5 piece fiberglass shell :)

Though, I didn't have a little mishap last night bringing her home, about 4 miles from home the starter power cable broke loose and hit the Exhaust manifold, ... ZAP, threw the main breaker and shut her down. Now I need to rewire the old girl, but that's not a problem, it's just the starter relay system.

My high school best friend's family used to have one of those - about the same vintage if I remember right.  They discovered it had a fairly high failure rate on the U-joints, and always kept spares on hand for roadside repairs (one broke while pulling away from a stoplight in the middle of some busy Atlanta intersection).  They really did try to ease up to speed rather than mash the accelerator pedal, trying to keep from breaking stuff.

My friend was a Pherd guy, so I kept reminding him it was the torque of a 440 Mopar that ate the U-joints.

Nice looking ride!!

Nice RV you found.

My wife & I had done lots of camping in tents, but when we rented a motorhome once for a week for the first time, we decided we needed to get off the ground permanently.

We never did buy a motorhome, but we've owned travel trailers since around 1995. We're on our third one, & it was the first one we bought new.

Lots of good info on these two forums:
