I found long time ago a Cam that loooks very tempting on Specs for a mild BB:

CROWER 271HDP_ 271/284 222/234 .486/.496 112LSA

who sell Crower cams ? ( beside Crower website ) Summit just have couple of them, but nothing interesting.

Summit carries the Crower line but you have to type in the part number into the search box to see availability. Not everything they carry is listed on their online store/website.  ;)

They can order one for you even if they don't have it in stock.  :yesnod:

FWIW, that cam is an excellent choice for a low compression 400 with exhaust manifolds....much better than anything MP sells....by a long shot !  :2thumbs:

well you know VERY WELL the setup I'm trying to build up because we have talked about several times ( KB240 pistons trying to get 9.5 compression or a little bit more if possible with heads mill and porting job, eddy 2186 intake, 166K converter, 3.55 SG with 27" tires, Hughes valve springs number 1106, metallic headgasket )... does look finally we got some agree ? LOL

I still will try the MP 280/474 because I have it in hands, but looking forward.

somebody posted the REAL duration at 50 is 234 for the 280/474, and not 238 as advertised. Thats does not look that bad if raising compression more than one point.

My engine build up is becoming LOOT DELAYED ( really delayed ) due the damages I got on my car on the paint  :bawling:. Thats definitelly a priority

The 280 cam is still big for a 400 ci build in a heavy car with low stall and street gearing....you can try it but you won't be happy.  :brickwall:

Hey, if you don't believe me just do it and report back. I'll be happy to answer your questions as to why the car won't spin the tires and feels like a little puppy  :icon_smile_big:

Summit has the 271hdp grind listed (pn 32242)
