just got home from work and turned on the game. what a shootout........ Manning had almost 150 yards passing in the 1st quarter alone.  35-34 Indy  2 minutes  into the 3rd quarter. just saw a stat. so far today there has been 14 posessions. 9 tds, 2 fgs, 1 punt, and 1 int. looks like this game is going to be a good one.

Yeah, both quarterbacks had a perfect rating through the first half. Every posession until the middle of the third quarter resulted in points on the board. The Bengals gave up more touchdowns in the first half than in any entire game this season. They managed to sack Manning once and picked him off too and Palmer was picked off and sacked once as well. That seemed to be the extent of the defense. There was almost 1,000 yards of offense between the two teams and I'm sure any number of records were broken. Chad Johnson had a personal best game (almost 200 yards on 8 catches I think) and also broke the 5,000 yard mark for his career - on a touchdown catch to boot. It looked like a college game for a while - especially the long plays.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

If you're a Colts fan, that's got to make you feel a little bit uneasy. Cincy was the first team that Indy has played that had a winning record and they really exposed the defense. Johnson was able to run right at them and they couldn't get to Palmer. The difference in this game was their offense and they cannot rely on that in the playoffs. hat much has been proven the past few years.

I'll give the colts this, if they have to rely on their offense this year in the playoffs they will be playing in the dome. I think every team should play outdoors but that is just me. I think football is an outside sport, and should be played outside everywhere. Minnesota, Green Bay, Chicago, New England, everywhere should be outside.

I had said it earlier this year, you will see just how tough Indy's defense really is when they play against a few teams that actually have an offense. New England moved the ball on them all game long too. So did Houston in the last game they played against the Colts.
