I have a 600 performer and have some richer rods...The edelbrock site pdf manual doesn't show how to replace them nor do I have a manual. Anybody willing and able to reply with a quick tutorial, maybe even a pic of a carb pointing to where the heck they even are? Thanks, sorry to be such a doughball

The quickie is that on the top of the carb to either side of venturis you will see a small metal plate held in place with a single screw each.  Remove the screw while holding the plate down with a free finger as there is a spring in there (oh, and cover the venturis with a rag first).  Lift the metal plate out of the way and then pull up the step up piston and rod as an assembly.  The rods are held on there with a tiny spring clip and it's all easily lost so keep track of things.
In this pic, it is parts 12 thru 17 that we are talking about.
