How much does the underhood tempurature change going from black painted headers to coated headers?  3rd gen/mild 446

I was going to a car show yesterday and the traffic jam was bad  30 mins of creeping along. Big aluminum radiator and electric fans did great, but the heat waves coming up the sides of the car where really hot.

well i know the ceramic coating on headers does many things...but one of them is a definite drop in underhood temp as well as extended header life and more HP...check this out

Ceramic coating makes a BIG difference. I fired up the Black Pig yesterday, did some tuning and checked temps with my Infared heat gun and the tube temps were in the 325*F range sitting there idleing for 20 minutes....engine temps were ~185*. Uncoated headers are usually in the 550*-600* range on the last few i checked.
