Im trying to sell this Engine combo in craigslist.

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/pts/1187456177.html

No clue what rear end this is.

Think this is a far selling price?

Any idea on the value of the parts?

I figured the transmission is worth $150
The rear end $150
The bell housing $75
And the engine like $100

Got a few replies in not very long and its making me wonder......

The trade for a 5.7 hemi motor is a pipe dream.... but what the hell eh?

Thanks

I think your good, if your happy with $$...I've been out of the GM world for many years now but I remember something about "12 bolt posi and 10 bolt posi....how many bolts on the cover? Count them and google that, remove the cover and see or spin it to see if it's a posi measure between the brakes and include that in your description.

It looks like a 12 bolt cover but I can't makeout the bolt number.  If it's a 12 bolt, that would explain everyone emailing you.  Jack up the price.

EDIT:  This is what you have.

8.2 rear as they had a similar cover and 10 bolt.
By the sharpness of the design and where the bolts line up I'm almost positive you have an 8.2 rear.

If you want to code some numbers
clean the top of the passenger axle tube there will be a code/number, then compare it to this chart.

Looks like a camaro/nova rear because of the leaf spring mounting.  A 12 bolt one of those is pretty good property, but that looks like a 10 bolt to me in the pic.  The shape of the cover looks similar to a 12 bolt, though.  They have a stamping on the axle tube similar to a mopar Dana 60 that will tell gear option and etc.

I count 10 bolts on the rear cover.   :yesnod:
