:stirthepot: How about when Coy and Vance come flying onto Uncle Jesse's farm for the first time?  :popcrn:

As someone who loved DOH when it came out and wanted to be a stuntman, I have watched all the jumps many times, because we own the DVD's Lots of great GL jumps, but the first one that popped into my mind when I saw this topic was the Satellite jump. It was with Coy and Vance, and I believe it was right at the beginning of Season 5(?). I believe the car was blue(?) with some wierd SS stripes or something.

Most all the GL jumps are good in some way, until they started using the remote control cars with close-up shots in Season 7. That was embarassing...

Yeah we were talking about that one earlier.

That one is said to be the beginning of nitrous oxide usage on DOH.  If you've been to the site where they did it, you'll really understand the reasoning - no space to get the car up to speed before the ramp.  (There really wasnt even a normal road for that run-up, it was just fully rough ground.  They decided how they wanted to shot to look first and then figured out how to do it second.)

They eventually bought 3 copies of a commercially-available nitrous kit and starting using them sometimes on bigger jumps.  They were launching a lot of 318 cars that carried beefy rollcages & 600 pounds of trunk ballast.

If you remember "Goodbye, General Lee" in season#4 (also the first episode for the wide pushbars), they jumped one of those same 73/74 Sattellites hella high up over a dump truck.  It was the pale yellow GL replacement car.
