Windshield washer nozzle tube color?

I'm restoring my Washer nozzles, but don't know if the nozzle tubes suppose to be black or clear zinc as the mounting plates  :scratchchin:

same as the mounting plates

I have seen a lot of originals in clear cad as well - both were approved platings.
